Before, I'd never understood this, not until the numbness had taken me over. I've felt three different types of numbness; The first and most common is when I feel nothing physically or emotionally, yet I can still feel a major breakdown approaching me. Eventually, it leads to my uncontrollable sobs, and I bury my face in my pillow to avoid letting my father or step-mother hear me. The second was less common; I had felt absolutely nothing, nothing whatsoever, but, it was okay, somehow it was okay.
